It feels like GTA meme with CJ was created specifically… for this case. CD Project Red posted an apologizing tweet to delay Cyberpunk 2077 once again. It is the fourth time the studio moved the release date. And now we should wait 21 more days, from November 19th to December 10th.

CD Project tries to keep people attracted to their game as hard as they can. But it seems like they’ve got a too weak shotgun for that beast. According to their apology letter “the biggest challenge… is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time”. If we count that all we get 9 Cyberpunk versions, which will be pretty tough.

With all delays, it is not fair to blame the CD Project. Since the beginning of this pandemic people were forced to stay at home and work distantly. It’s still a challenge for such a giant project to arrange all processes work from distance.

“We feel like we have an amazing game in our hands and are willing to make every decision, even the hardest ones, if it ultimately leads to you getting a video game you’ll fall in love with” Adam Badowski, the head of the CD Project Red studio writes in the letter.

The fact that Cyberpunk 2077 has got a new data release has also influenced the participation in the annual The Game Awards event. Due to the new data, the game can’t fight for the best game of the year award.
