Every year, GameStop conducts a conference only for its employees, but this year had an unpredictable ending. Every shop has received a chance to win in a TikTok dancing challenge. The team with the best dance video wins some bonus hours to work during Black Friday.

TheGamer noticed the challenge when it was rolled out on GameStop’s website.

As is the tradition of TikTok, GameStop employees filmed a brief video where they dance to a hype song. Actually, the whole competition was for store managers who could team-up with their in-store team. “Be creative, rope in your team, and have fun with it!” the page read before it was removed.

The video of dancing employees has already burst on TikTok. The finalist and the winner in #redwinechallenge, which reached 32.3 million views. Check this video out; the dance is actually pretty good.

The winner, and apparently the most hardworking, team will receive two Amazon Echo devices, a $100 Visa gift card, and “10 additional labor hours” they can use during the most intense Black Friday week.

Some could say that it’s a dead-end to compete for an extra 10 hours of work. The thought can appear because of the lack of corporate details. Perhaps it’s an honor and big luck to work more during Black Friday because of the high sales rates. According to my personal sales experience, when such activities as Black Friday appear, the company gives bonuses for every item sold. Sure, GameStop can have other perks for employees, though we’ll never know about them.
