How do you switch on the Google dinosaur browser game? It is very easy; all you have to do is to lose your connection and the internet will drop out in a moment. Joking. You can switch the internet connection off and join the game in your Google Chrome browser. The game’s already existed since 2014 and the same design has endured over the years.

The Verge offers you a new perspective on this perennial internet favourite. Internet collective MSCHF, in collaboration with 100 Thieves, has created the mode for Dino runner where your pixelated T-Rex with small arms will get a sword or other weapon. You can play the game without interrupting your internet connection. The game is called Dino Swords and you can check it right here.

Google’s “Dino game is the final holdover from the golden age of things like Addicting Games and Miniclip games,” Daniel Greenberg, MSCHF’s head of strategy, told The Verge.

We agree with his statement because we can remember the time when you could join a fast Flash game while your mother was at work and kill some free time while playing the game.“Dino Swords is our take on the classic Chrome dinosaur runner game, made extravagant with 26 weapons to help your runs,” Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, 100 Thieves owner and CEO, said. “Many of them pay homage to classic video game weapons, some of them are totally OP, and some are completely useless. There’s even a few easter eggs that are pretty hard to unlock.”
