CD Projekt Red has finally released, perhaps, the most awaited game in gaming history — Cyberpunk 2077. Primarily, the company rolled out the teaser about the upcoming shooter back in 2012. The big picture was to release Cyberpunk 2077 on April the 16th. However, destiny had its own plans. CD Projekt delayed the game three times, but not because of the coronavirus (well it was the reason too). Now we can see why the company struggled so much. Unfortunately, it is PS4 and Xbox One users’ turn to coping with these difficulties.

Cyberpunk 2077 impresses with its technical majesty. You will immerse into the open world of the cyber future, where all people live with some tech implants, and there are still cars with wheels. The design of the game makes you feel butterflies inside because it is lovely as hell. All tiny details such as rusty cans, petting a cat, real-life dialogues, or even characters’ nudity are design details we were expecting from this game. But older hardware was not ready for it, because such details are a giant pressure for it.

Nine platforms! Imagine how much work has been done to release Cyberpunk 2077 on nine platforms. It is not a wonder to spectate glitches and bugs during the game. The Verge has got a chance to test Cyberpunk on several platforms. We want to show you their comments and of course the best glitches.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitchy on PS4 and Xbox One

To start with, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are not suffering from constant FPS jumps at all, and that is wonderful. However, the situation gets worse when it comes to testing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One. What is more interesting, is that it is not a PS5 version of the game. The company plans to release a full pack of next-gen upgrades later next year.

Despite the good news for next-gen users, that doesn’t soothe the fact that developers formally planned to release the game on PS4 and Xbox One. There is a pile of videos that show how poor the performance of the game on last-gут consoles is. Unfortunately, every time you run the game you should sit still with crossed fingers and prey for the game without crashes. Still, a crashed game is the worst variant. More general bugs are like rough textures, NPCs that are not loading at all, your character walking through doors, and so on. Andrew Webster The Verge’s games editor couldn’t even drive his car because of the NPC that got stuck in the car.

Wrapping Up

Cyberpunk 2077 is a nice piece of medium-rare steak, but you don’t like a rare steak. It looks wonderful when you launch it on newer hardware, but the vast majority wanted to try the game out on the older consoles. The company noticed on Twitter that they are grateful to 8 million people who have preordered the game. CD Projekt Red continues to work so we can enjoy the game without bugs, but the game ruined first impressions and that is sad.
