Xbox users will finally get a UI update in October, that’ll be in the good manner of next-gen design. According to The Verge, Microsoft has announced it’s rolling out the new interface design to its Xbox consoles as a part of its update. It’s the same design players will see on the Xbox Series X/S next month. And that’s sad.
We’ve seen some details about the new design earlier, so you can check the details right here. The company notices that they’ve boosted home screen loading by 50 percent and it’s 30 percent faster when you’re leaving the game. The company doesn’t give any information about whether the One S users will get these performance improvements.
You can see the difference in the small details Microsoft has added. It seems like the company used a vacuum cleaner to create a sense of space and it’s easier to read the landing page. The layout makes it easier to navigate between the most recent things you were doing, the Dashboard, and My Games and Apps.
The customization function is also available for users so you can now set your profile theme. However, only basic themes are available now although the company promises to expand its library soon.

The fact that Xbox consoles of previous generations and the next will have the same design kinda kills their personality. We should be grateful for changes Microsoft has done with the Xbox UI because nobody knows when the next global update will be. To check the new interface, you can simply update your old console.
