Coronavirus sudden outbreak is a cause of physical distancing which people should follow with the aim to reduce the spread of the virus. There is no ready vaccine yet, so the only way out is to stay isolated and strictly follow the instructions we are provided by the WHO. Sony in its turn is showing its gratitude to people who are practicing physical distancing and launches a supporting initiative “Play At Home”.

Play At Home is a program to overcome core tasks: support their PS community, and people who are trying to entertain themselves, and provide smaller independent game studios with financial assistance, as Sony Interactive Entertainment has developed the fund with $10 million to support their partners.

It is totally free

PlayStation community has already been acquainted with two monthly free to play games, although these games are available for those gamers who have the premium PlayStation Plus subscription to download them freely. Unlike the premium subscription Play At Home is available for all gamers who have PS4 console.

PlayStation is offering to join Nathan Drake in his adventures and download Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and the second game is the meditative Journey. Both games are “available for free* for a limited time through digital downloads from April 15 at 8pm PDT through May 5, 2020 at 8pm PDT Once you redeem the games, they are yours to keep” President & CEO Jim Ryan said in PlayStation.Blog.

That is how Sony Interactive Entertainment is trying to support not only people who are struggling to find the joy, but also those who can hardly find money for their living.
