The Xbox Series S is real, and now we can see that everyone who was gathering all the hints together are not paranoiac fanatics. This Tuesday was very intense for the gaming world. First of all, there was the massive leak of a possible Series S console look, and after making us wait for a while, Microsoft has finally confirmed that the cheaper version of their next-gen console exists. Microsoft also mentioned that the Series S will be more compact with a power close to its elder sibling. The price tag is very accessible – $299 and in the UK it’ll cost £249.99.

If you look closely at the image of the new console, you’ll understand what the company paid for the price tag and for the humble size. There’s no special hardware for disks, so it’ll be a digital-only version. Moreover, the console on the picture is shown staying upright for better air circulation. Maybe, it is only for mutual design with the Series X version, because if you take a look at the logo on the white console, you’ll see that it hints at the traditional horizontal usage.
All details are still under wraps, and Microsoft soothes our desire to know by saying “Looking forward to sharing more! Soon. Promise.”
According to Windows Central, reports are that both the Series X and the Series S will be kicked off on November 10 and they’ll cost $499 for the first one and $299 for the second console. Th preorder campaign starts on the 22nd of September.
